A Celebration of Creative Friendship
During Paris Fashion Week, côte&ciel joined long-time friends and collaborators sabukaru to celebrate the exclusive launch of Issue 02 of the Tokyo-based magazine.

Having followed each other's journeys since the early days of sabukaru, the evening marked an opportunity to celebrate a relationship built not through product, but through a shared curiosity for design, culture and creativity. Hosted at the côte&ciel Paris flagship, the event brought together communities from across fashion, art and music to mark the release of the magazine's latest issue, featuring an exclusive editorial created in collaboration with côte&ciel.
Rather than following the familiar rhythm of Fashion Week, the evening embraced something more playful. Inspired by the editorial's colourful wigs and quietly surreal atmosphere, guests were invited to become part of the story themselves. Multi-coloured wigs were handed out throughout the night, encouraging everyone to temporarily step outside of themselves and enjoy the freedom of not taking fashion too seriously.

Shot inside a former Japanese school, the editorial explores a balance between structure and playfulness, drawing together vintage references, architectural composition and subtle surrealism. It reflects côte&ciel's ongoing interest in how environments influence the way we see, wear and interact with objects.
Music throughout the evening further reflected this dialogue between cultures, with DJ sets from Los Angeles-based Drewbyrd and Tokyo/London-based Taro, bringing together creative communities from both East and West.

More than a launch, the evening celebrated the friendships, conversations and collaborations that continue to shape both côte&ciel and sabukaru.
