‘The Feeling of Fall’ | côte&ciel Visualises the Literal, the Conceptual, and the Emotional in its latest Fall/Winter 24 Editorial
Stemming from Paris, côte&ciel has defined the contemporary-technical bag genre. Despite their rich history in functionality though, their Parisian heritage forever brings them back to the romantic side of fashion. With this being deeply rooted within French head designer, Emilie Arnault, for their latest Fall/Winter editorial they fall head first into this philosophy.
Titled ‘The Feeling of Fall’, this editorial explores the literal, conceptual, and emotional definition of the phrase. Aside from the obvious styling direction, which brings together warm coats, layering, and accessories you’d be expected to wear during this season, talents can be seen surreally falling, tripping, or lunging as if not in complete control. In stark contrast, we notice cradling, embracing, and even grimacing away from the products. Both sides of these visual cues explore the feeling of falling in love.

The editorial concept is a call back to the inception of one of the brand's most iconic products - the ISAR. Created by Emilie as a love letter to her partner, the now famed bag was originally designed so that her loved one could separate their belongings when traveling to and from work; this bag would go on to become what we now know as the first ever bag from côte&ciel.
Now, 16 years later, the Parisian brand has since expanded its collection with a multitude of new silhouettes. Cross-body and slings such as the HYCO and ORNE, seen in the new seasonal fabrics, have become trademark offers, whilst they continue to push innovation through bold and architectural designs such as the AMU and AMU Mini . The brand finds itself at home once again with the MOSELLE, a backpack with an alluring spherical shape.

Seasonal fabrics pictured include the Pleated Black and Jacquard Grey, offering robust yet effortlessly elegant, water resistance solutions to fashion-forward functionality, whilst the Braided Black provides an avant garde edge while never diluting the bags’ practicality. Finally, the Japanese Komatsu Nylon returns in beige to round Fall\Winter 24 off.
