In côte&ciel’s latest installment of its ‘Horizons’ series, which sees them visit like-minded creatives from around the world, they join Johanna Parv, the Estonian-born womenswear designer. Now residing in London, her eponymous brand JOHANNA PARV pursues a solution to active, adaptable womenswear.
‘There haven’t been enough people asking questions about what women need in sportswear.’
Graduating from London’s prestigious Central Saint Martins in 2020, Parv has since worked for an eclectic mix of luxury houses, from Balenciaga and Dior to performance-running brand SOAR, who have all informed and influenced her process. Aside from fashion design, Johanna leads an active lifestyle, preferring cycling as her mode of transport round the busy city of London, allowing her to source inspiration from what she sees, feels, and hears.

‘JOHANNA PARV empowers wearers through creating outdoor accessories and ready-to-wear pieces that are adapted to urban active lifestyles.’
Parv’s label is built upon a clearly defined design language, anchored by versatile garments engineered for use in urban outdoor environments. The brand’s design language and ethos resonate highly with côte&ciel, with the products seamlessly adapting to an active lifestyle while retaining their fashionable presence - mirroring that of the parisian-bag brand.
In this editorial, Johanna Parv wears new additions to côte&ciel’s Fall/Winter 24 range, including the Jacquard Grey Neda, Braided Black Ladon, and Smooth Black Hyco S.
