côte&ciel @ Roppongi Hills Tokyo
Expanding its physical presence, côte&ciel recently opened its second store in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo, to sit alongside its existing flagship which has served the capital since 2015.

During an era where everything is very much ‘all-digital’, retail stores allow brands to connect with their customers on a deeper and more personal level that is typically harder to do otherwise.

Inside the Roppongi Hills store, you can expect to find yourself familiarly immersed in a physical manifestation of the côte&ciel universe, with a focus on signature shapes and fabrications that seamlessly blend form and the utmost function.

From mainstay silhouettes like the Saru, Isar and Nile to Spring Summer 23 additions such as the Neda, the store carries a myriad of styles designed to prepare intrepid explorers and modern commuters alike. In their rawest forms, experience the natural yet technical beauty of the label’s leading fabrications, such as Komatsu Onibegie® Nylonand Allura Recycled Leather which are better appreciated in hand.

The interior of the Roppongi Hills store has been designed by the Balzer Balzer Brothers, a Berlin-based creative studio founded in 2019, which approaches its work in a functional and site-specific way, meaning each project is tailor-made and fit for purpose.

Sharing many parallels with the studio in terms of design ethos, the Balzer Balzer Brothers took on the store interior in a literal and visceral manner, ensuring the products and materials speak for themselves - putting innovation above anything else.

Whether you are a creative living in Tokyo, or a traveller from elsewhere, côte&ciel invites you to experience the new store, located at
